Notme,sorry you are so cynical all the time.Someone else asked why you live here,you are so down on Canada!Yes,we have had recalls.This post however,was about China. ;)

well it not cynical like you call it  it practical   because i see both side of the sotry and we have as much recall as   China  how about tainted meat , mad cow diseases ,  bad water in some cities that kills people   want me to name more ...

my point is before pointing the finger at someone repair your own stuff   we are no better ...

the only reason China is making the headline is that for one they are a communist country and for another our good old neighbord are afrai we start trading with them instead of the US   .....because it would be better for us to trade with China we would not need to substazie  our sales

We don't have nearly as much recall as China.And those that we have are usually(not always,some disgruntled employees I think) accidents in manufacturing and are discovered and recalled by the offending company!
With China it is blatant disregard for human life.Pure bottom line.Replacing products knowingly with cheaper,toxic,or poor nutritional products.

also did you konw that the Canadian safety council  are to lazy to check their stuff they rely on the US   so maybe the US is fabricating the whole stuff just like they have fabricated their reasons to attack Iraq

China’s food safety administration announced late on Friday it had found salmonella in frozen chicken products sold to China by Tyson and in frozen chicken feet from US company Inter­vision Foods.

Ractopamine, a feed additive, was found in frozen pig ears from Van Luin Foods USA, frozen pork from AJC International and frozen pork ribs from Cargill Meat Solutions and residue of an anti-parasite drug was found in frozen chicken feet from Sanderson Farms, the agency said.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today confirmed that a strain of Salmonella Wandsworth bacteria found in Veggie Booty snack food is responsible for the disease outbreak that occurred between March and June 2007.

Epidemiological testing conducted by the Minnesota Agricultural Lab previously implicated Veggie Booty snack food as the source of the outbreak. The results of FDA’s own testing added confirmation.

Veggie Booty is marketed by Robert’s American Gourmet, of Sea Cliff, N.Y.

FDA continues to advise consumers not to eat any Veggie Booty and to throw away product they have. FDA also advises consumers not to eat Super Veggie Tings Crunchy Corn Sticks, and to throw out any supplies they have, because this product also may be contaminate

But there's a difference between having a bacterial contamination in a food product vs. having a chemical additive which is deadly to humans, such as ethylene glycol (antifreeze) in toothpaste.

One grows within the food.  The other is added intentionally.

who say it was not added because the stuff was shipped to China   we are talking about the US   the ones that invent reasons for wars
