The RCMP are continuing to ask the public for information regarding the discovery of the body of a newborn baby boy on the Taylor Road near Salisbury, N.B. on April 4, 2009.

A funeral for the baby boy is still pending. The RCMP is still imploring anyone with any information to come forward so that the baby can have a proper funeral with his family.

 

It is unknown when the baby was born or when the body was placed on the side of the road. Given the snow in the area at the time of the discovery, the baby could have been born and placed there anytime between October 2008 and March 2009.

Codiac Regional RCMP members responded to a call of an armed robbery at Tim Horton's located at 1166 Mountain Road in Moncton at 2:11 am on April 28.

 

One man entered with a knife and demanded money from the clerk.

 

The individual fled without any money. No one was injured.

 

The man is described as 6' tall with a slim build,wearing a dark hoodie.

On May 1 at 02:36 am, Codiac Regional RCMP members responded to a call of an armed robbery on Hillsborough road in Riverview.

 

A man carrying a knife demanded money from a taxi driver. The suspect told the driver to exit the cab and then he fled with the taxi and an undisclosed amount of money.

The taxi was recovered moments later on Emery Street in Riverview.

No one was injured.

On May 3, 2009, at about 11:30 PM, Codiac Regional RCMP members responded to a call of an armed robbery at the Petro Canada located at 1000 Mountain Rd in Moncton.

 

A man entered the store and demanded the employee place the money from the register in a bag. No weapons were used. Two clients were present at the time but no one was injured. The suspect, described as being approximately 6’2”, with a thin face and a light colored mustache, left the premises with an undisclosed amount of money.

On May 4, 2009, at around 2:39 AM, Codiac Regional RCMP members received a report of an armed robbery on Gunningsville Blvd in Riverview.

 

A taxi driver indicated that he had been robbed by a man he had picked up as a customer. The suspect grabbed the money from the driver and when the driver resisted, the suspect slashed him with a knife.

 

Fortunately the driver was not injured by the knife but he did however sustain a dislocated shoulder during his struggle with the culprit.

 

The suspect fled on foot and could not be located despite the efforts of the RCMP dog team. He is described as a white male, 5’9” to 6’ tall, medium build and long dark hair. He spoke English without an accent. At the time of the offense he wore a blue jacket and a blue bandana.

On Saturday May 3, 2009, at about 1:19 AM, Codiac Regional RCMP members were dispatched to the scene of a stabbing at a residence on McLaughlin Drive in Moncton.

 

An 18 year old man suffered several non life threatening stab wounds. Another 20 year old male victim also suffered undisclosed non life threatening injuries. Codiac Regional RCMP members are interviewing the victims and witnesses to identify the suspects. The police would also like to speak with any witnesses that have not yet come forward that might have been present during the incident.

Codiac Regional RCMP today released a photo of a man they hope may have information regarding the robbery on May 3rd at the Petro Canada located at 1000 Mountain Road in Moncton.

 

This individual was in the area around the time the robbery occurred at about 11:30pm on Sunday night.

 

Codiac Regional RCMP is hoping the general public maybe able to identify this man or asks that the individual call police directly as investigators are interested in speaking to him.

 

On the night of the robbery, a man entered the store and demanded the employee place the money from the register in a bag. No weapons were used.

On the 19th of May 2009, Codiac Regional RCMP Drug Section executed a search warrant at a Moncton residence on Elmwood Drive.

 

Police seized a quantity of cocaine, ecstasy pills, 2 handguns, money, prohibited weapons and an SUV.

 

A 33 year old Moncton man and a 46 year old Moncton woman were arrested and released to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on July 23, 2009, to face charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and firearms offences.
