On May 3, 2009, at about 11:30 PM, Codiac Regional RCMP members responded to a call of an armed robbery at the Petro Canada located at 1000 Mountain Rd in Moncton.
A man entered the store and demanded the employee place the money from the register in a bag. No weapons were used. Two clients were present at the time but no one was injured. The suspect, described as being approximately 6’2”, with a thin face and a light colored mustache, left the premises with an undisclosed amount of money.

Armed robbery, Riverview, N.B.

On May 4, 2009, at around 2:39 AM, Codiac Regional RCMP members received a report of an armed robbery on Gunningsville Blvd in Riverview.
A taxi driver indicated that he had been robbed by a man he had picked up as a customer. The suspect grabbed the money from the driver and when the driver resisted, the suspect slashed him with a knife.
Fortunately the driver was not injured by the knife but he did however sustain a dislocated shoulder during his struggle with the culprit.
The suspect fled on foot and could not be located despite the efforts of the RCMP dog team. He is described as a white male, 5’9” to 6’ tall, medium build and long dark hair. He spoke English without an accent. At the time of the offense he wore a blue jacket and a blue bandana.

On Saturday May 3, 2009, at about 1:19 AM, Codiac Regional RCMP members were dispatched to the scene of a stabbing at a residence on McLaughlin Drive in Moncton.
An 18 year old man suffered several non life threatening stab wounds. Another 20 year old male victim also suffered undisclosed non life threatening injuries. Codiac Regional RCMP members are interviewing the victims and witnesses to identify the suspects. The police would also like to speak with any witnesses that have not yet come forward that might have been present during the incident.
