    Cashing In Gift Certificates

I won't mention any names here. Why is it when I buy a book of five $1.00 gift certificates I pay $5.00 for it at a certain very large fast food company but when I purchase a $3.40 order I don't get sixty cents back when I pay for it with four certificates? This forces me to take a fifteen percent loss on my investment when I cash them in. When I buy them I don't ask for a fifteen percent discount. I pay the full $5.00. Not wanting to be ripped off by a very large company that probably doesn't need the money, I gave the girl behind the counter a toonie and told her I wanted to use the toonie as part payment. I got my sixty cents back which was rightfully mine. It p155es me off to no end when a big company tries to force the Average Joe into spending extra money that the big company takes for granted. If you want to spend the extra money fine and dandy......Have it your way.Whistling [whistling]
