I normally wouldn't post something about a TV show in these forums, because it tends not to provoke a hell of a lot of discussion. But, I saw the first episode of this new season and found it interesting.
If you've seen it, you'd notice there was a Christian woman amongst the castaways. Part of the beginning of the show had the castaways in a Buddhist temple, bowing and kneeling before their sacred Buddah statue. The Christian lady wouldn't do it, and she walked out, bewildering the rest of the cast and the host, Jeff Probst.
The producers made it look like she was some kind of flake, if you ask me. I thought she was the bravest of the bunch. Christians are not supposed to worship or bow to any false gods. I admire her for standing up for what she believes in.
Probst said early on it in no way is intended to be worshipping, but they're trying to welcome you. I dunno....kneeling and bowing before an idol seems like worshipping to me.
Any thoughts?
