    Lactose Intolerance

I talked about a product here once called Digestive Advantage Lactose Intolerance.  Since I read about it in a Dr. Gott article in the paper, my wife and me were desperate enough to pursue the possiblilty that we might find something that would actually work.  To our very pleasant surprise, it does, and we still use it.

Unfortunately, this stuff (not a drug, but a probiotics formula) is only available in the U.S., and we have to have it imported.  We each take two little caplets a day, and we can eat all the dairy we want the whole day without worries.  Not only that, but I find it helps with other food sensitivities, like with nuts, which I had a problem with but not anymore.  I asked several pharmacists about why it isn't in Canada and they say they don't know, but it's possible that the market for supplements like Lactaid would be threatened.  In other words, politics.

We're ordering our next batch soon.  A box of 32 caplets, with shipping, comes to about $9.  If you're interested in trying it to see if it works for you, drop me a line in my inbox here at the forum.  I'm not looking at all to profit from this.  If it works for you, you can order it yourself from that point on.

I know how tough it is to live with lactose intolerance, and I just want to spread the word about this stuff.

I'm scared to drink milk ever since the cow fell over on me.
Remember yesterday, respect tomorrow, live for today.

I bought some batteries, but they weren't included.
