    spam/advertising

I just logged on and I saw several new posts "today". Great, I thought. Then I discovered it was all advertising and/or spam.

Handbags advertised in several different forums including video!!!

This is extremely irritating. I wouldn't want to see posts have to go through a clearing process before appearing - although it would be nice if such crap was deleted from time to time. Advertising should be in the ads section.

Anyway, how about this? When a new account is registered, there is a delay of 24/48 hours between the first post and when a new one can be added. That gives some time to 'check' if a new account is a genuine poster. If they appear to be a spammer....cancel the registration.

Obviously this safeguard shouldn't be advertised, otherwise they'd simply make what appears to be a genuine post and then flood us with their crap. I think more could be done to stop them.

    Spam Central

Yes, on some days it does look like " Spam Central " here.

One post I can live with, but 2, 3 or more on the same thing is a  bit much...

Keeping you informed, entertained and amused..

I try to reply to all spam. Big Smile [:D] Sometimes it's better just to pass their e-mail addresses on to other spammers. Oop's, Did I say that?Wink [;)]
