I've got things eating away at me.
Just really chewing me up inside.
I recently had a bad doctor report
And it might become a rough ride.

Is the doctor trying to scare me?
If he is I can sure understand why.
But he didn't admit me to a hospital
Maybe he just sent me home to die.

Almost a week has come and gone
Since he gave me a scare so great.
My lifestyle has changed quite a lot
But I really hope it isn't too late.

I'm booked to see him next month.
There's a chance I might pull through.
Five and a half weeks is a long way off.
So keeping busy is what I'll try to do.
