Can anyone tell me how I can meet some people and chat and start making some friends? I would like to make some male friends who I can get together with and go for a dinner, go fishing, dancing or a movie. Is this possible ?

I am 48 and am tired of just working and coming home.... with no excitement...

Are all chat rooms usually empty?... that's what I see..

Thanks very much for letting me know this. How come no one chats? Do you know of a good chat room for the Mocton area?

Still looking for the answer to that one myuself.

At for Chat Rooms, no I can't name one besides ours here. As a general Rule I avoid them like The Plague. One of the reasons that I'm Single now is that my ex enjoyed them TOO much..I have a hard enough time on a one on one chat on MSN let alone trying to engage in multiple chats at one time.

I'm one of the slowest typers in east midtown Moncton. If I get in a room full of at least 2 or 3 people I completely mess up the chats by typing so slow that complete conversations can be held while I type a simple reply. It gets worse when I go back and try to fix my mistakes.

And I make three. I can't keep up in live chat with my one finger typing(well, at times I get on a roll and use two...lol). Even MSN with one person is a challenge. I prefer forums, no pressure.

Forums are the all IT for me too.  In chat ya have to stick around but in forums ya can leave and come back and still carry on a conversation.  I can type lickity split but I can't chat like that.  I have to think.
