Highchair safety hazard alert
Sears says chair can collapse if not fully locked into place

TORONTO (CP) — Sears Canada is alerting consumers to a potential safety hazard regarding a highchair made by Graco Children’s Products Inc.
The retailer says the highchair can collapse if it is not fully opened and locked into place and can potentially injure a child in the chair.
The Graco(R) Contempo Highchair was sold at Sears Canada retail stores as well as through the Sears Canada catalogue between Aug. 2005 and Dec. 2006.
The model numbers affected are: 3800KAS, 3800GGG, 3800SML and 3810PST and can be located underneath the snack tray on the highchair. The corresponding Sears item numbers found on your receipt of sale are: 68836, 68001, 68800 and 68331.
Graco has received 18 reports of the highchair collapsing unexpectedly. There have been no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
Sears Canada urges customers who own the affected highchair to stop using it and contact Graco Children’s Products Inc. at 1-800-667-8184, or visit www.graco.net to obtain a free retrofit kit.
