It is black ... and there's good news. They live across the road from a farm, and often get barn cats and kittens on their patio, which they sometimes gather in groups and take to the animal shelter bcs the farmer doesn't care for them very well. I can ask them to keep an eye out for a kitten with six toes - spring is coming, and they're likely to be over-run with babies!
