Slow down, Microsoft. I'm just getting used to XP. Don't go pushing Vista on me yet.

Let's compromise on this issue. You keep Vista and give me a beer.Smile [:)]

Vista is probably good to somebody who can afford to change to the times whenever they change.

You have to think that XP is about 5 years old. If you think that hardware that old will run the latest and greatest, then you're crazy.

    Re: Go Vista? No

It will be about 10 years by the time I know how to run it properly. I'd rather master a simple system than to be clueless with a more complicated one.

honestly, i have no opinion. I don't use antivirus software. Its not because i can't afford it, emule is free : ), I just use Maxthon IE 2 as my browser, and this protects me from most viruses that are online. i don't open attachments from unknown emals, and that takes care of email viruses.

I highly doubt they didn't think about old software. It is microsoft after all. I'm sure there will be some glitches but older software should still be compatible just like most of the older products were compatible with XP
Just waiting till it's all over.

good point, but what does running Vista give you that you didnt have with XP? You can still read email, work in Word, play video games, go to moncton.net and yourfavouritepornsite . com....what else? you like the look and feel of Vista? then just download a free XP skin that looks the same, and save yourself a few bucks
