Downtown Moncton was the scene of untold horrors, confusion, mayhem and downright hostility this morning .

A sacred , unwritten trust had been broken this morning. People's faith's were shattered.

Alighting from my bus at Church and Main at about 7:15 am, I noticed a large noisey crowd at the corner of Main and Alma, directly in front of the entrance to Tim's.

Waking toward it and my usual morning double double, I saw two female employee's huddled in the Tim's doorway  ,showing signs of mortal fear. One cried out, " Hanging us won't get you a coffee."

It seems that no one had showed up to open the store. Around me was pure kaos . One man was atop the nearby bus shelter attempting to make a hangmen's noose.

In the street was a beautiful middle aged woman offering to trade her body for a Large Double Double. Near by an old man sat weeping uncontrolably.Another man sucked hard on his cigarette, and cried " whats a smoke without my Tim's ? "

It was a sight that almost brought  tears to my eyes....almost. I kept walking untill I was at least 100 feet away and then turn to the ever growing crowd and screamed..." There a Tim's in City Hall. ", and then turned and ran like hell with the wild eyed mob in pursuit.

Some one did  forget to show up and open it..yes..

Plus the look on the people faces was grim, and the 2 employed in the doorway were really stressed..

And yes it seems they all forgot about the Tim's in City hall, and yes I did race them them..and with my great leed, easily won and got my coffee.

At first I took the story seriously and almost applied there for a job so I could brag about being well hung.

Was it lucky for you or unlucky for the scoutmaster who hung around all summer?
