    JOBS -Administrative Assistant/Executive Assistant/Receptionist

I know in this province that we are bilingual but not all students graduating

Are bilingual yet we go off to college/university to study in fields we wish only to graduate to find out we will need to leave the province to get a job in that field because we are not bilingual. I went to college, took a years course…have a nice student loan to pay back but the chances of me finding a job is slim in my field because I am not bilingual. There are few jobs advertised for these positions that do not require the knowledge of French, how am I suppose to work for what I went to school for if no one will give me a chance? The ones that are advertised for only English either do not call you back or they want someone with 3-5 years of experience. Tell me know why do we get in debt to try to make careers for ourselves if we will have to struggle or move. They complain there isn’t enough people to work around here but its because half the people need a job they qualify for and/or want more money.
I have nothing against the French ( I have French in me, my mothers side of the family) now I took French in school and have tried to learn it…its impossible for me to get it. I know why its important to be bilingual because French people have just as much right to get served in their language as English due but it makes it hard for the only English speaking or only French speaking ( yes there are some out there that can only speak French I know someone who’s mother can not get English and she has a hard time some places.)
Anyone listening to the radio or reading the paper they announced the problems with students graduating without being bilingual is 70% English and only 30% bilingual so how do we stand a chance? These are two separate issues that impact one another but need to be worked on.

For now I sit searching want ads hoping to find one I can apply for in my field and if I do find one hope that they will call me for it.
