    Re: Evening Banter

Gimme that shot of rum! Oh wait ... better not do that before tomorrow morning's bloodwork, LOL.

So my little guy and I had our first flu shot ever on Saturday. And now he's on the couch with a temp of 101. His cheeks are as red as his sweatshirt - the one of 3 he's wearing that I can actually see, LOL.

Today was a good day. I saw the doc - after a 3-week wait - used my week's spending money for fabric softener, toilet tissue, and popsicles ... and then got 2 shadow boxes made for Christmas gifts. Oh ... and hubby made supper. Life is good, baby!

Now ... if clear liquids are allowed on a 12-hr fast, that would include white rum, yes? Big Smile [:D]

If I knew there was going to be a new room I wouldn't have drank all the whisky and cream soda last night.

Here I thought it was Evening  Decanter

The whisky decanter has been specially commissioned by The Scotch Embassy in conjunction with St Andrews Links Trust - who are responsible for the care and maintenance of The Old Course.

The Decanter is of a unique design and the beauty lies in it's quality and simplicity. It is hand blown 100 percent lead crystal and hand cut by one of the finest master craftsman.

The silver collar, stopper and plaque are individually stamped with the full silver hallmark making it easy to authenticate for future generations.

The wooden cup into which the decanter sits is a masterpiece in its own right. It is handcrafted by a master cabinetmaker. The silver plaque proudly names the all 27 legendary to have won at The Old course.

A Limited Edition of 1000 decanters are available, costing US$1,500 plus delivery each.

K, I'll be the square boy of the bunch and join in with my bottle of Diet Pepsi, since I don't really drink.

They're $2.49 for six packs of 710ml at SDM this week.  We're all stocked up!

My blood sugar's a lot safer with diet pop than it is with regular.

    To each their own though.

Hey what about chatting for real?

I'm in the chat room right now.  I'll stick around there for a bit and see if anyone else dives in.

I hardly ever drink pop at all so when I do I usually water it down with another beverageWhistling [whistling]. I can't figure the idea of drinking diet pop. Why not just take regular pop and mix it with a bit of water? It is more refreshing, less syrupy, and doesn't give a person as much gas. It's better to use water than drink diet pop with today's wonder sweetener of the week aka next week's problem chemical.
